We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist with strong experience in Foreign-owned company (PMA), preferably within injection molding or food and beverage packaging industries. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to ensure the company’s procurement needs are met with optimal cost, quality and delivery performance. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and supporting continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and supplier performance.

To be a successful Sourcing Specialist at PT JMI, you should possess a strong understanding in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment for at least 3-5 years’ experience in procurement.

Key Roles and Responsibilities – Procurement Supervisor

  • Conduct strategic sourcing for raw materials, components, and services to ensure best value in cost, quality, and delivery.

  • Identify and qualify new suppliers through market research and evaluation.

  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to achieve cost efficiency and secure supply continuity.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Planning, Production, Quality, Finance) to align sourcing with operational needs.

  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and procurement procedures.

  • Analyse cost data and market trends to support sourcing decisions and cost-saving initiatives.

Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics

o   Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all procurement documents and transaction are complete and error-free.

o   Ethical and compliant in all procurement activities, maintaining transparency and adherence to company policies.

o   Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production, Quality, Finance, and Logistics.

o   Proactive, result-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and production requirements.

o   Good understanding of procurement and supply chain principles, particularly within manufacturing environments.

o   Familiar with vendor networks and sourcing in Semarang and Central Java areas, with strong local market knowledge for mapping and cost optimization.

o   Proven personal characteristics for success in this position are, as follows:

Education and Experience

o   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or relevant related field.

o   Required 1 – 3 years of experience in procurement administration, preferably in manufacturing.

o   Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/SAP system.
