On behalf of our mining client, we are seeking a talented Coal Logistic Senior Officer to join our dynamic team at Talent Search Recruitment Consultant’ in Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective logistics of our coal operations, ensuring that our products are delivered to customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.

This position requires a 8 weeks on site:2 weeks field break roster schedule and understand basic English.

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimise the transport and distribution of coal

2. Manage and coordinate the activities of logistics service providers, such as transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance

3. Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics operations with production, sales, and customer service

5. Identify and evaluate new logistics technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to coal logistics

7. Provide training and mentorship to junior logistics personnel to foster their professional development if needed

What we’re looking for:

1. Having 3 – 5 years of experience in a senior logistics role within the mining or energy industry

2. Strong understanding of coal supply chain management, including transportation, warehousing, and customs procedures

3. Willing to work under 8:2 rosters

4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify innovative solutions

5. Proficient in data analysis and the use of logistics management software

6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

7. Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing operational efficiencies

8. Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
