Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for ensuring the optimal maintenance, reliability, and operational efficiency of power assets while adhering to environmental regulations and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives across various sites.

• To manage and lead the power plant Engineering Support team to ensure required plant generation targets, availability and reliability are achieved in a safe, efficient, economic and environmentally sound manner whilst complying with company policies, procedures and regulations.

• Develops and upgrades maintenance strategic plans to cover life of asset requirements on a timely basis.

• Deploys maintenance life plans for Power assets based on criticality and using reliability centered maintenance techniques.

• Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations and the compliance of environmental management and protection permits for power plant.

• Optimizes the availability of Power assets by ensuring that planned downtime is kept to the minimum required. Optimizes the reliability of Power assets by ensuring unplanned downtime is investigated and driven towards zero.

• Maintain plant reliability by monitoring appropriate CBM indicators with timely reporting.

• Implement projects and programs within power plant that provides continuous improvement opportunities.

• Liaises and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure they are fully informed of engineering activities.

• Participate in internal and external improvement initiatives outside of the immediate department’s needs as required from time to time.

• Responsible to prepare 1-year and 5-year ahead engineering budget in a timely manner.

• Optimize the costs of maintaining power assets by improving engineering efficiency and effectiveness.

• Responsible for the continued development, management and evaluation of manpower, operating and capital projects and budgets for the Power Engineering team.

• Manage and develop staff including setting objectives, performance management, training & coaching, succession plan, and handling industrial issues.

• Build strong expertise in own field, clearly understand own and team objectives/goal, and deliver consistent high performance.

• Manage environmental performance improvement programs including energy conservation, water conservation, resources conservation, waste reduction, contaminant load reduction.

• Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.

• Responsibility for the safety operation of all facilities, infrastructures, plants, and equipment assigned to his/her supervision.

• Other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 15 years’ related experiences.

• Have minimum 5 years’ experiences in leadership level in similar role in Combined Cycle Power Plant.

• Experience in the management and administration of budgets and financial controls in a multinational company

• Deep knowledge of all areas of Engineering/maintenance (mechanical, electrical, C&I).

• Competency and knowledge of the basic plant layout, equipment and systems of a large industrial project.

• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) sufficient to undertake this role.

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.

• Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.

• Strong leadership and a people-oriented outlook.

• good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution.

• Maintains a valid car driver’s license.

• Will be working on-site with regular working hour (no roster).
