Job Description

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and staff. This role involves operating and monitoring CCTV and other surveillance systems, enforcing access control procedures, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency situations. The Security Officer ensures timely detection and reporting of any unusual activities or security breaches while supporting the broader security team in maintaining overall safety. By combining vigilance, accurate documentation, and effective communication, the Security Officer contributes to the protection of residents, their belongings, and the property, while providing professional assistance and fostering a culture of safety for residents and guests.

Qualifications

1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical training in security systems, CCTV operation, or electronics is an advantage.
2. Experience: Prior experience in security operations or CCTV monitoring is preferred. Familiarity with hotel or residence security procedures is desirable.
3. Technical Skills: The Security Officer should be able to operate and troubleshoot surveillance systems while having a solid understanding of general security protocols, access control, and emergency response procedures.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to report incidents clearly and interact professionally with residents, guests, and internal stakeholders.
5. Customer Service: A client-focused approach is essential, demonstrating the ability to handle security concerns and inquiries with diplomacy and professionalism.
