About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Captain to join our team at Shishi izakaya lounge & Nightclub Bali’ in Badung, Bali. As our Bar Captain, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bar, overseeing a team of talented bartenders and providing exceptional customer service to our patrons. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and customer-focused individual to excel in a fast-paced and vibrant hospitality environment.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supervise and lead a team of bartenders, ensuring high standards of service and drink preparation

2. Develop and implement effective bar operations procedures to maximise efficiency and profitability

3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for stock as required

4. Provide training and support to bartenders, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding service

5. Liaise with management to identify and implement strategies to enhance the bar’s performance

6. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of excellence

7. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and liquor licensing regulations

8. Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional and courteous manner

What we’re looking for

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Bar Captain or in a senior bartending role

2. Thorough knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, staffing and customer service

3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service

5. Proficient in mixing, preparing and serving a wide range of cocktails, beers and other beverages

6. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry

7. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering a premium guest experience
