The Role

As a Junior AI/ML Engineer, you will develop and deploy machine learning models that power ZENTARA’s threat detection and intelligence platforms — including real-time anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and adversary pattern recognition systems.

This is not a research-only role. You will collaborate with backend engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity analysts to transform raw security telemetry into actionable AI-driven insights. Your models will directly support decision-making in high-stakes security environments — from SOC automation to threat hunting operations.

Key Responsibilities

AI Pipeline Architecture & Model Development

• Build and maintain AI pipeline infrastructure for model training, validation, and deployment

• Implement anomaly detection algorithms for network behavior and user activity analysis

• Develop classification models for threat identification and risk scoring

• Create feature engineering pipelines optimized for security event data

Model Integration & Production Deployment

• Integrate trained models with backend APIs and real-time data streams

• Implement model serving infrastructure for sub-second inference latency

• Build monitoring systems for model performance and drift detection

• Develop A/B testing frameworks for model evaluation in production

Collaborative Development & Research

• Work closely with Data Scientists to translate research models into production code

• Collaborate with Backend Engineers on API design for model inference endpoints

• Participate in code reviews, model validation sessions, and security assessments

• Support cybersecurity teams in understanding and tuning model outputs

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)

• Experience with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow or PyTorch)

• Understanding of anomaly detection algorithms (Isolation Forest, LSTM, Autoencoders)

• Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines

• Ability to work with real-time data streams and high-volume datasets

• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning fundamentals

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Bonus Points

• Experience with cybersecurity datasets or security use cases

• Familiarity with time-series analysis and behavioral modeling

• Knowledge of model explainability techniques (SHAP, LIME)

• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI)

• Understanding of adversarial machine learning and model security

• Exposure to streaming frameworks (Kafka, Flink) or edge deployment
