Role Overview

This position combines both technical sales and technical support functions, making it ideal for candidates with a background in either pre-sales engineering or after-sales service within industrial machinery, welding systems, or cutting technology.

You may focus on technical sales, from identifying client needs, recommending equipment solutions, and supporting the sales team with presentations and demonstrations. Or, your strength may be in application engineering and post-sales, from providing field support, running trials, delivering training, or troubleshooting equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify client requirements and offer tailored technical solutions

• Plan and conduct welding process trials

• Deliver technical demonstrations and training to customers

• Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support

• Deliver product presentations and machine demonstrations

• Prepare commercial proposals and follow up on sales leads

• Build and maintain long-term client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• D3/S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related fields, with Welding certifications (e.g., Welder Certificate, IWE, IWT).

• At least 2 years hands-on experience with welding equipment and standards, within their role in Pre Sales or Post Sales, or hands-on experience with selling industrial machinery, automation, or laser equipment, within the Technical Sales domain.

• Functional proficiency, especially in technical communication – ability to understand and communicate technical terms, product manuals, and basic email or report writing.

• Professional Skills:

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.

  • Ability to explain complex technical products in a consultative manner.

  • Target-oriented and self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
