Job Description

• Supervise receipt of samples to the lab, documenting, labeling, storage and sending out of samples as required.

• Supervise and execute the full quality evaluation of coffee: green grading, yield analysis, moisture check, roasting, cupping, and reporting.

• Operation, supervision and maintenance of all lab equipment: moisture meter, roaster, grinder, and brewing equipment.

• Prompt reporting of quality results in chats, excels, and system (Tastify).

• Work with the production team to optimize yield and assurance of contract quality specifications. 

• Creation of blends, offers, and type samples.

• Ensure that shipment quality matches PSS.

• Communicate any issues to manager for immediate resolution.

• Assist as needed for any other task as required by the company.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related experience as coffee quality control.

• Extensive knowledge of farm-to-cup coffee process (upstream to downstream), equipment calibration, and specialty coffee standards (Q Grader or SCA Intermediate Level) is preferred.

• Good sensory skills with cupping proficiency.

• Familiarity with standard cupping forms and green grading.

• Excellent organization & coordination.

• Prompt and effective problem solving. 

• Good communication and teamwork.

• Effective time management and sequencing duties to ensure all deadlines are met.

• Disciplined and reliable with unquestioned integrity.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English.

• Willing to be placed in Takengon, Aceh.
