MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Media Design, or related subjects.
• Minimum 2 years of graphic design / media design experience, including involvement in a creative project development within a formal institutional setting.
• Good written and verbal communication and comprehension in English, and interpersonal skills in order to effectively liaise with internal and external parties.
• Demonstrable creativity and skills in design and layout work using all kinds of creative and effective media such as text, photography, video, digital illustration and animation.
• Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent organizational skills including electronic file management and time management skills.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications and other relevant photography or filmography and Microsoft Office / Google Suites, and highly proficient and familiar with Apple/MacOS.

Desirable:

• Experience working in the education industry, particularly in an international school setting. 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position’s duties and responsibilities, but are not exclusive to are as the following:

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide the design required to deliver a wide range of print and digital design briefs for teaching aids and School communications. These include but are not limited to:
• Worksheets;
• Calendars;
• Invitations;
• Posters;
• Tickets;
• Programmes;
• Booklets;
• Leaflets;
• Handbooks;
• Catalogues; 
• Newsletters;
• Large format graphics;
• Presentation materials;
• Advertisements;
• Branded garments;
• Menus;
• Office stationery;
• Digital content; 
• Signage;
• Videos;
• Photographs.
• Liaise with the Photocopy Operator, proof-readers, freelance designers, photographers, videographers and others as necessary, to ensure outputs meet expectations.
• Support the Marketing Manager in the development of brand guidelines for BSJ, implementing and continuing to evolve them thereafter, to ensure designed materials are consistent, distinctive and on-brand.

Other General Professional Duties

• Actively promote and uphold all Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and responsible use of personal data in accordance with the relevant personal data protection policies and procedures within the school. 
• In liaison with the Line Managers, take responsibility for upholding Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) practice within your own working area and be responsible for completing risk assessments/near misses as appropriate.
• Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned by the Creative Design Coordinator, the Marketing Manager or the Head of Community Engagement.
