Job Description

Lead the mold engineer team for mold setting, analysis, DoE and optimization of the mold manufacturing process.
Conduct scientific injection plastic molding.
Conduct Design of Experiment (DoE) of the injection plastic parameters.
Optimize injection plastic machine parameters.
Troubleshooting injection plastic parameters.
Review mold designs.
Research in material selection.
Prepare BOM (Bill of material) with appropriate material.
Collaborate with Molding Engineers, Process Engineers and other departments to ensure the mold design meets requirements.
Responsible for documenting and maintaining accurate records of mold specifications, modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Works independently with little supervision.

Requirements

Minimum of a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die/Welding.
Has experience as a journeyman mold setter and hands-on on in the injection plastic machine for more than 5 years
Has over 3 years of experience as a journeyman mold maker in mold construction.
Has Injection Mold certification is preferred.
Must be an expert in designing mold with two and three plates.
Must be skilled in operating various types of mold-making equipment and machinery, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, CNC machines, etc.
Must have a thorough knowledge of mold-making, machining methods, typical mold tooling material, slider, cold/hot runner system, and unscrewing system.
Good knowledge of plastic materials.
Familiar with 3D software and plastic flow analysis software.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve mold-related issues.
Excellent communication in English both oral & written.
Applicants must be willing to work in Salatiga.
