Culture Manager – Indonesia Factory

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Culture Manager to join our factory in Indonesia. This role will be pivotal in shaping and fostering a positive, productive, and values-aligned factory culture. The successful candidate will have a strong marketing or public relations background and be adept at communicating and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

Reporting Structure:

Solid Line Reporting to: Group Strategy and Development Director

Dotted Line Reporting to: Indonesian Factory General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Culture Strategy & Development

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the factory’s culture strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision, mission, and values.

  • Identify cultural gaps and areas for improvement, proposing and executing innovative solutions.

  • Promote an open, inclusive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement:

  • Design and execute effective internal communication plans, ensuring all employees are informed about company goals, policies, and updates.

  • Organize and drive various employee engagement activities, including team-building events, cultural celebrations, recognition programs, etc., to enhance employee cohesion and belonging.

  • Leverage your marketing or public relations expertise to promote company culture in an engaging manner and motivate employees.

Brand & Public Relations (Internal):

  • Act as a “brand ambassador” for the factory culture, ensuring all internal communications and activities align with the company’s brand image.

  • Utilize your public relations acumen to manage internal relationships, address potential cultural conflicts, and foster positive employee relations.

  • Manage and maintain internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, notice boards, internal newsletters), ensuring information is timely and accurate.

Training & Development:

  • Collaborate with the HR department to develop and implement culture-related training programs, including onboarding, values dissemination, and leadership development.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Performance & Recognition:

  • Establish and promote employee recognition mechanisms to acknowledge and reward employees who embody company values and demonstrate excellent performance.

  • Assist in developing and implementing performance management systems that are aligned with cultural objectives.

Diversity & Inclusion:

  • Champion and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring all employees are treated fairly and have opportunities to reach their full potential.

  • Address sensitive issues related to cultural differences, fostering mutual understanding and respect.

Management Support:

  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to the General Manager and Group Strategy and Development Director on the status of factory culture development.

  • Support and guide management in cultural change management initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

  2. Minimum of 5 years of management experience in culture management, internal communications, marketing, or public relations, with experience in a factory or manufacturing environment a plus.

  3. Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels and backgrounds.

  4. Demonstrable experience in marketing or public relations, with a proven track record of successfully promoting ideas and building positive images.

  5. Familiarity with Indonesian local culture and labor regulations.

  6. Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken) is a must.

  7. Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

  8. Empathetic, proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  9. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
