Purpose of Position

Why does the position exist?  What objectives does this position achieve?

To plan, direct and control purchasing and warehouse within responsible area with the objective to meet the business requirements in quality, technology, supply and cost.

Areas of Responsibility

Within each Area of Responsibility, provide a brief description and define why the incumbent needs to fulfill the responsibility.  Also include the measure(s) used to assess the achievement of the respective areas of responsibility.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• Select, train, develop, motivate and monitor performance the team to achieve functional and departmental objectives within Bitzer guidelines.

PURCHASING AND WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

• Assist the production department in order to assure the correct flow of materials for the assembling line.

• Coordinate among different departments and coordinate as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding delivery of materials and information

• Liase with human and material resources needed to assure the efficient performance on the processes of warehouse and purchasing.

• Suppliers management: identify suppliers and maintains supplier relations; monitor Sourcing procedure to ensure smooth material providing in order to ensure high quality materials and meet production requirements in timely manner.

• Manage the inventory control and daily warehouse operations

• Leading cost down and continuous improvement projects

PURCHASING COMMUNICATIONS

• Lead cross-functional team in the selection of suppliers in the product development cycle; consult with key business users in the supplier performance management process; maintain high-level contact with suppliers; direct communication with top suppliers in emergency situations in order to provide continuity with corporate plans and objectives, and to promote a coordinated effort to achieve business objectives.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS

• Review trends of suppliers to determine future strategy; provide input into the business plan at country level; submit regular performance reports to Executive Management in order to insure coordination with the purchasing plan, goals and objectives.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

• Establish programs with suppliers to ensure and measure quality through product development and evaluation cycles; align with internal and external parties to ensure a consistent purchasing process and follow-up occurs throughout Indonesia in order to minimize risks to the organization and ensure high quality of materials.

Responsibility Based on ISO 45001 (Health and safety) and  14001 (Environment)

ISO 45001:

• Assures that all the activities are executed and comply with safety and security conditions for all employees.

• Use safety equipment (PPE, helmet, safety hoes) that is required in accordance with each area.

• Ensure the computer, printer is off when the job is done.

• Ensure and control the cleanliness of working place in daily basis.

ISO 14001:

• Control and reduce the usage of papers copy and others stationary consumption

• Control and reduce the usage of electricity and water consumption.

• To separate the waste material residue B3 related to office and stationary consumption.

• To divide the type of waste at the designated places

Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related field with strong technical background

Experience:

• 5 years purchasing experience within a multinational organization

• Management experience preferred

Technical Expertise:

• Knowledge of refrigeration operations and related business practices

• Good command of negotiation and English communication skills
