Position Overview

Based at our regional Innovation Centre in Denpasar to further support business development in Eastern Indonesia region, we are currently seeking:

                                                                                                  Technical Baker / Chef

                                                                                                  (Denpasar – Bali)

Reporting to the Regional Technical Supervisor and Country Technical Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for supporting Business Development team in providing guidance and solutions of Puratos products application, managing sales and business opportunities, as well as working together with our existing and potential customers.

Key Accountabilities

• Demonstrating application of Puratos products in professional, efficient way with a strong emphasis on the benefits of our innovations and unique technologies.
• Developing concepts and recipes in line with the nutritional philosophy of the company and market expectations, customer needs, and consumer trends, in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and R&D.
• Visiting customers to work on well-defined projects and assure the follow-up on projects; including but not limited to training of customers’ team, implementing specific programs with retail customers, presenting new recipes and solutions.
• Accentuating the quality of the products, supporting customers in the preparation of finished products at high quality level.
• Use the latest technologies to optimize customers’ working efficiency without compromising quality of the product.
• Playing a major role in the organization of workshops/trainings for internal or external customers sharing product knowledge in the most professional way, including the application of presentation and demonstration of skills,
• Ensuring the creation of reports (including recipes) for each project to facilitate prompt follow-up when required.
• Actively participate in new product development early in the process and take part in range review & positioning, together with the R&D and the Marketing departments/BU.
• Assure that the image building process is in line with Puratos product standards (pictures, leaflets, video, virtual IC, social media, etc.).
• Build Expertise & Network in Specialties Area:
  • Aspire to become a leading and recognized expert in the product range by training and field experience.
  • Constantly building towards becoming an expert an active network of high commercial value of customers.
  • Share intelligence on innovative technologies & trends from the market.

Profile

• Min. Diploma Education in Gastronomic Sciences / Culinary major / Baking School.
• Minimum of 5 years professional work experience, be familiar process of bakery, patisseries, and other pastries, and the usage of the baking ingredients including in HORECA industry.
• Production techniques knowledge in Bakery, Patisserie and Chocolate and new developments in market (products and technology).
• Knowing well the market trend in the region, country, and around the globe.
• Willing to learn and apply new ideation and technical skills.
• Work independent and willing to work as a TEAM.
• Other requirements: passion for baking, good communication skills, flexibility and spirit of adaptation, precision, reliability.
