Role Objective

The Special Operations Supervisor is part of the Operations Team and will be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining the highest level of safety and productivity in coal hauling activity.

• Supervising, monitoring, and controlling coal hauling operations which encompasses various aspects, i.e. technical, planning, hauling , road maintenance and resource allocation.

• Ensuring regular communication with subordinates, direct supervisor, and other sections / departments.

• Involve in development and opening new projects related to development of new mining operation.

This position will interact with contractors and liaise with other related departments. This position requires a good leadership, self-motivated, mining technical software ability, and good communication to support the job, and will also manage all related parties to get their best achievement and continuous improvement.

Main Accountabilities

• Upholding the Company Standard and Values. Promoting and reinforcing compliance with Company’s quality standard.

• Promoting safety awareness and safety best practices in the work environment in order to create a safe work environment according to Adaro QHSE standards.

• Provide design for the special operation activities to support operation, such as road design, bridge construction, culvert installation, road surface improvement, new road development, etc.

• Supervising special operation and provide technical recommendations.

• Monitoring and controlling the coal hauling activity based on procedures, optimizing travel time of hauling fleets.

• Reviewing coal hauling performance and road maintenance activity based on daily, weekly, and monthly plans and giving recommendations to meet production targets, including elimination of coal contamination and coal loss.

• Developing and maintaining appropriate and efficient operating procedures and practices, and continuous improvement of coal mining activity.

• Providing coal hauling report and conducting effective hand over meeting to ensure continuation of operational target achievements.

• Ensuring training and competency matrix for the Mining & Engineering Department is in place and implemented.

• Managing and ensuring the Operational Safety (Keselamatan Operasi/KO) management of the mining & hauling activities and its support is implemented.

• Being responsible to the Technical Mine Manager (Kepala Teknik Tambang) for the safety of all mine workers who are subordinates.

Job Qualifications

• S1 (Bachelor’s Degree) in Mining Engineering / Geology / Civil Engineering.

• Min. 3 year proven track and experience of mining operation work in mining industry.

• At least 1 year of experience, preferably in road maintenance, road construction, or civil/bridge construction.

• Certification in Pengawas Operasional (POP).

• Expert in Drawing/Design Software (AutoCAD).

• Expert in Mining Software (Minescape/Minex).
