About the role

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Palu, Central Sulawesi. As a Mining Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mining operations and ensuring the efficient and safe extraction of resources. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading company in the Mining, Resources & Energy industry.

What you’ll be doing

Developing and implementing mine plans and engineering designs to optimise production and resource utilisation
Analysing geological data and conducting feasibility studies to identify new mining opportunities
Overseeing the execution of mining activities, including drilling, blasting, and material handling
Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Providing technical support and mentoring to the mining operations team
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
to perform any other entrusted & requested by Management

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar mining engineering role, preferably in the coal industry
Fluency in English and Indonesian languages, able to speak Chinese is advantage
Demonstrated expertise in mine planning, design, and operations management
Strong understanding of mining technologies, techniques, and equipment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CAD, mine planning, and data analysis applications
Willing to be place at Palu, Central Sulawesi
