Located in East Borneo, the company is at the forefront of producing high-quality nickel for global markets. They are now seeking a skilled Process Engineering Section Head to lead their engineering team and optimize their production processes.

Description

As the Process Engineering Section Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the plant’s process engineering activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and mentor the process engineering team to achieve production targets and ensure continuous improvement.
• Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage engineering projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation of new technologies or process improvements.
• Ensure that production processes comply with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Promote and enforce HSE policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Maintenance, and Quality Control to ensure smooth plant operations.

Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 8 years of experience in process engineering within the nickel smelting or metallurgical industry, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of nickel smelting processes, pyrometallurgy, or hydrometallurgy. Familiarity with process control systems is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Must be open to relocating to East Borneo.
