The Head of ICT develops and implements the school’s ICT Program in coordination with the educational and leadership teams. The Head of ICT and his/her team ensure that the school’s ICT Program is always up to date and for see future ICT development, and the school teaching team in general keeps up with the current trends.

We are looking for candidates with global experience, have interest and passion in the vast development of computer and technology in Education.

 Key responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Develop and lead the delivery of a highly effective curriculum at all key stages
• Lead and manage all ICT staff at the school in the teaching of the subject.
• Ensure a high quality of ICT teaching and learning.
• Carry out in house peer and formal observations of teachers delivering Computing and ICT lessons and ensure they are provided with meaningful feedback and targets to ensure continued improvements in Teaching and Learning.
• To stay up to date with new initiatives in Teaching and Learning and to ensure they are implemented in the Department.
• To develop and implement strategies for improving teaching and learning in ICT.
• To review and amend, as appropriate, the schemes of work annually according to developments in education.
• Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire, and improve pupil attainment.

Leadership

• Establish a subject specific development plan, target setting and review.
• To work within and ensure implementation of the school Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant education background
• 5 years working experience in an international atmosphere, mid-sized company with preference in the education sector
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• A self-starter with a high degree of initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through implementation
