As a Restaurant Manager Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the restaurant management team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment. You will help with scheduling, inventory management, training, and more, acting as a bridge between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support:

    • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service.

    • Help manage the restaurant’s front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

    • Assist with monitoring service standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Staff Assistance:

    • Help schedule staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.

    • Support in the hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff members.

    • Provide ongoing training and feedback to staff to improve service quality and efficiency.

  • Customer Service:

    • Act as a point of contact for guests, ensuring any concerns or issues are addressed promptly.

    • Monitor guest feedback to identify areas for improvement in service.

    • Ensure a clean, welcoming, and organized dining environment for guests.

    • Restaurant Manager Assistant Requirements

      1. Experience:

      • Previous Experience: 1-2 years in the foodservice industry, ideally in a supervisory or assistant role (e.g., server, host, or kitchen staff).

      • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles is important, as the job requires interaction with guests to ensure satisfaction.

      • Management Support Experience: Familiarity with supporting or assisting in restaurant operations, including helping with staff management, scheduling, and inventory control.

      2. Education:

      • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Preferred: A degree or coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a must

      3. Skills:

      • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management. Ability to provide clear instructions and maintain professionalism in all situations.

      • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various operational aspects, from scheduling to inventory to customer service.

      • Leadership Skills: Ability to support and guide staff, ensuring that service standards are met even during busy periods.

      • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle customer complaints or operational issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining a positive atmosphere.

      • Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring quality control, food safety, cleanliness, and service standards.

      • Basic Financial Understanding: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, and basic budgeting/financial reporting. Experience with tracking inventory and managing expenses is a plus.

      • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with staff, management, and other departments (e.g., kitchen) to achieve overall success.
