Senior / Application Technologist (Sweet & Beverage), Indonesia

As an Application Technologist, you will leverage your expertise to support flavor application of product development to deliver winning solutions across sweet & beverage category. You will play a key role in beverage development applications, specifically non-alcoholic beverage and powder soft drink while also staying informed about market trends to drive innovation. You will build stronger and trusted partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally to provide technical support to drive and deliver business continuity success. 

The Position: 

• Responsible for development of beverage applications, with priority for non-alcoholic beverage and powder soft drink categories to deliver winning solutions in accordance with specific requirements.
• Assist and support product development of other categories (baked goods & dairy) when required. 
• Continual and consistent research and upgrade of technical expertise to stay informed on consumer and market trends. 
• Assist to coordinate launches and scale up of new products including trials. 
• Collaborate with cross functional departments to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables and seamless project execution. 
• Conduct presentations for technical visits and play a key role as direct technical contact to build stronger partnerships with key customers. 
• Perform administrative duties to support various key projects.
• Maintain a safe working environment and practice standard operating procedures such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). 
   

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent.
• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in Technical Application in Beverages with a focus on bakery discipline. 
• Prior experience from Flavor Houses or Food Ingredients Manufacturing Industry would be preferred. 
• Strong expertise in sensory evaluation, technical knowledge and flavor / food ingredients application. 
• A strong team player, independent and driven to excel. 
• Agile, creative and innovative with strong desire to learn from key successes and seek continuous improvement to achieve excellence. 
• Possess excellent project management, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
