To maintain and improve facilities condition through effective preventive maintenance and repairs to the building and grounds and all facility equipment’s electrical circuits and installation to better employees’ working environment and energy usage.

• Wire and troubleshoot power and control circuits associated with the building facilities electrical equipment.
• Be able to size and install conduit, wire and connect equipment in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment pertaining to plant facilities and suggest/implement improvements to those systems.
• Evaluate potential failures associated with plant facility electrical equipment and develop work orders and plans to resolve potential failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility electrical equipment.
• Capture and inform supervisor of key information before the shift ends.
• Perform work and maintain equipment as per the OHSA for industrial facilities and P&F safety standards.
• Assist in developing and/or updating preventive maintenance procedures.
• Read, Update, and accurately modify electrical schematics.
• Maintain plant lighting.
• Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects the P&F expectations, P&F’s vision/values through Magna’s Employee Charter.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• C of Q Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A) required.
• Minimum 5 years work experience as an electrician.
• Good oral and written skills in the English language.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Industrial Facilities electrical circuits and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Ability to read and update Electrical schematic diagrams as required.
• Have a sound knowledge of industrial facilities equipment. 
• HVAC.
• Cooling Systems. 
• Power distribution systems and transformers.
• Exhaust Systems (Motor Control).
• Air make up systems.
