Position Overview:
The Web Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing user-centric web interfaces that align with our brand identity and business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of web design principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas into visually appealing and functional websites. The ideal candidate will have experience in both design and front-end development, with a passion for creating seamless online experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Design:

• Create visually appealing website designs that align with our brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Design website layouts, user interfaces (UI), and other visual elements using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.

Front-End Development:

• Convert design concepts into responsive, interactive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate UI components with server-side logic.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.

User Experience (UX) Design:

• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and improve website functionality.
• Design user flows, personas, and sitemaps to enhance the overall user experience.
• Implement best practices in UX design to create intuitive and accessible web interfaces.

Content Management:

• Work with content creators to ensure that website content is well-organized, relevant, and aligns with the design.
• Use content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla to manage and update website content.
• Optimize images, graphics, and other media for web use.

SEO & Analytics:

• Implement on-page SEO best practices to improve website visibility in search engines.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate SEO strategies into web design.
• Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website performance and make data-driven design decisions.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet expectations.
• Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to refine design concepts.
• Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing web design projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, or Sketch.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.

Design & UX Skills:

• Excellent understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
• Experience with user-centered design processes, including user research, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Ability to design for accessibility and usability, following best practices for web standards.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
