Responsibilities : 

Product Strategy and Development:

  • Define product vision: Develop and refine the product roadmap, aligning with the company’s overall goals and market needs.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to identify new opportunities or product improvements.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with R&D, design, and engineering teams to develop or improve lighting products, ensuring that they meet customer needs and technical specifications.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product from concept through to launch, and manage the post-launch performance, updates, or eventual phasing out of products.

Brand Management

  • Brand Positioning: Develop and manage the brand’s positioning in the market to ensure it aligns with target customer needs, values, and perceptions.
  • Brand Identity: Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across all marketing and sales materials.
  • Competitive Analysis: Regularly assess the competitive landscape and adjust branding strategies to differentiate products and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Brand Equity Management: Measure and manage brand equity, ensuring strong customer loyalty and brand recognition within the lighting industry.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Launch Planning: Lead the launch of new lighting products, working closely with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to ensure a successful introduction to the market.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop tools, training, and resources to support the sales team in effectively communicating product benefits and features to customers.
  • Pricing Strategy: Work with finance and sales teams to establish competitive pricing strategies that maximize profit while offering value to customers.
  • Distribution Strategy: Oversee the distribution channels, ensuring products are available in the right markets and stores, both online and offline.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Customer Insights: Gather feedback from customers and other stakeholders to inform product development and improvements.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Build relationships with key partners, such as designers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the lighting industry.
  • Customer Education: Create customer education programs, such as lighting guides, product tutorials, and content that demonstrate the value and features of lighting products.

Marketing and Advertising:

  • Marketing Campaigns: Plan and oversee integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print, and events) that raise product awareness and drive sales.
  • Content Creation: Work with creative teams to develop compelling product content (brochures, videos, social media posts, etc.) that highlights product features and benefits.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities for product innovation, such as energy-efficient lighting, smart lighting solutions, or design enhancements.
  • Customer Experience: Improve the customer experience through product enhancements, intuitive design, or improved customer service touchpoints.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporate sustainability into the product development process, focusing on energy-efficient technologies, recyclable materials, and eco-friendly manufacturing.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, brand management, or a related role, preferably within the lighting, electronics, or home improvement industry.
  • Proven track record in product development, from concept to launch, with experience in lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market research and translate insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with R&D, design, and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, with experience in creating and managing brand identities that resonate with target audiences.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities to craft compelling brand messages and ensure consistent branding across all channels.
  • Experience in launching products in new markets, with knowledge of various go-to-market strategies (B2B and B2C).
  • Proficient in sales enablement, with the capability to create impactful training materials and tools for sales teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, particularly in pricing and margin analysis, to support competitive pricing strategies.
  • Passionate about product innovation, with a focus on emerging trends in energy-efficient and smart lighting solutions.
  • Committed to enhancing the customer experience through thoughtful product design and seamless customer service.
  • Knowledge of sustainable product development practices, including eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies.
