JOB SUMMARY

  • Manage and responsible for the ongoing support for numerous Applications and tools across Business Users.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Responsible to analyze a given problem, diagnose and find the root cause, then either solve it or pass the problem to relevant team it does not lie within area of responsibility.
  2. Responding to production emergencies – this incorporates the area of: Application Down or System Error.
  3. Assisting Users and answering questions – this requires understanding on existing Business Process / Procedures then formulize the resolution.
  4. Responding to environment changes, such as: implementation of new System. Action is required from Application Support team to ensure the Applications remain stable and accurate.
  5. Providing application configuration and maintenance
  6. Delivering support to existing Business Users and investigating and resolving Application errors, data discrepancies, inaccurate calculation / value and queries.
  7. Working with the Business System Support Analyst in identifying and proposing:
    a. Application system changes
    b. Better uses of applications
    c. Application enhancements and developments
  8. Liaising with appropriate vendors (both ROIT and local vendors), Business Users and IT Project Delivery team in the provision of Application changes or System deployment.
  9. Monitor progress of requests for support and ensure Users and other interested parties are kept informed.
  10. Responsible to monitor application / systems by providing regular reports on the current status of the application, such as: Job/DTS monitoring, batch-run process, etc.
