Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficient in using ERP/MRP software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  4. Knowledge:
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials management.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards.
  5. Certifications:
    • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning:
    • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
    • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales departments to ensure the timely availability of materials and products.
  2. Inventory Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage reorder points to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  3. Coordination and Communication:
    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Communicate effectively with various departments to align production plans and resolve any issues.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  6. Team Management:
    • Supervise and guide the PPIC team, providing training and development opportunities.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  7. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
       

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional visits to the production floor and warehouses.
  • May require overtime during peak production periods or to meet project deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits or training sessions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
