The OSBL Piping Engineer has overall responsibility for managing All OSBL (Utility) Piping Related Project activities mainly related to Mechanical Engineering Tasks to achieve excellence at the Project Execution level. She/he works with the Entire Project Team consisting of Company Operational Team, Consultants, Contractors, Vendors and others.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. A review of the project specifications and subsequent Checking of the preparation of drawings/schematics to be used in the eventual construction of the piping systems

2. Prepare all installation and selection documents for all mechanical equipment.

3. Collaborate with a team of designers to complete all mechanical capital projects and provide all engineering support.

4. Prepare and design all construction bid documents.

5. Provide support to all expense projects and maintain accuracy in all piping project and ensure compliance to all piping material specifications and maintain knowledge on all orders.

6. Analyze all mechanical designs and prepare various concepts for piping designs and develop required mechanical drawings.

7. Provide support to all purchase activities and evaluate all vendor submittals.

8. Inspect all mechanical equipment and analyze all equipment and ensure adherence to all present technology.

9. Provide assistance to all senior engineers and recommend improvements to all design and travel to site to analyze all equipment and maintain efficient relation with all plant personnel.

10. Assist to make arrangements for all business trips for various departmental tasks and design all technical specifications and assist to procure and fabricate all materials.

11. Coordinate with various teams to administer all assignments.

12. Provide appropriate solutions for all parties and evaluate and analyze all client requirements and design all piping specifications for clients and recommend appropriate alternatives.

13. Interpret all codes and maintain overall performance of all piping activities.

14. Provide support to all CADD functions and develop and maintain all activities according to project schedule and prepare appropriate forecasts.

15. Develop new methods to recommend improvements to all activities of piping section.

16. All Welding Procedures at various Positions and methods to supervise and execute during construction.

17. – Define pipeline requirements Provide technical support to the Design Team and Client.

    – Define pipeline technical specifications and data sheets for material purchasing.

    – Verify design submittals such as; Pipe sizing calculation, Optimize the laying route, pipeline layouts, flow simulations, Stress/Surge reports.?

    – Perform/verify interface discipline analyses and calculation notes.

    – Analyze Material submittals, Construction methods, and procedures.

    – Supervise construction and installation process of Equipment, pipeline and systems.

    – Solve technical problems arising during project Construction, Testing & Commissioning phase

• Experience in Project/Construction, Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience

• Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management, Site Contractor Management and Construction Risk Assessment

• BSce/ Mechanical Engineering Degree is essential.

• Experience of leading and delivering Project Services Greenfield and Brownfield projects

• Broad familiarity with different construction techniques, their risks and practical mitigations.

• Experience in environmental permitting and management requirements.

• Expert in control of work and permit to work systems including their development and implementation.

• Track record in developing a proactive safety culture on large construction projects, with multiple contractor groups and a diverse and local workforce.

• Fluent in auditing and implementing site improvements.

• Experience of successfully working with multiple contractors. Experience of successfully working within multi-discipline, multi-cultural teams.
