Senior Finance Manager

This role is responsible for accounting and financial requirements in an environment of tight control, financial planning and budgeting. He / she will provide financial support, advice and expertise to the Director with the aim of maximizing value, developing the quality of the Finance function.

Job Description:

• Manage financial operations, including preparation of the financial forecasts, budgets, and operational statements.
• Identify areas for cost reduction for efficiency improvements.
• Manage cash flow, including monitoring working capital, cash reserves, and cash flow projections. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
• Oversee financial modelling for fundraising and capital projects.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop tax strategies to minimize the company’s tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Providing explanation on key business drivers based on the business results as well as recommendations on actions to be taken to improve on the business outlook
• Managing full P&L, BS, Cash Flow.
• Providing explanations of key business drivers based on business results
• Understanding the analysis of market and other competitive data – market share, competition analysis, etc
• Providing support to both internal and external auditors
• Driving ad hoc projects for the transformation and change of processes and to support any changes in business models and types.
• Oversight of legal affairs and board reporting

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance management and accounting. ACCA, CPA, CA or a recognized accounting & finance qualification is an advantage.
• At least 8 years’ experience in senior finance position is a must
• BIG4 background is a plus
• Strong knowledge of taxation
• Excellent presentation & management skills are pre-requisites. Understanding and user of ERP system is a plus
• Financial Technology background is a plus but not a must
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Mandarin is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with excellent presentation skills
• Good leadership and team management, independent and proactive
• Excellent in people skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
• Experienced and ability to partner with board of directors and commissioners
