Job Description 

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, proactive individual to join us as a Technical Sales Engineer focusing on the Indonesia region. 

You will be working closely with our Sales team and agents/distributors in this area in a fully remote setting. You’ll be at the forefront helping to educate customers about the benefits of barrier coating and recyclable plastic packaging. You will have the opportunity to learn about the packaging market, build long-term relationships with key clients by supporting the sales process, create new food packaging projects, and make a real impact on their businesses and the environment. 

Daily tasks  

70% Technical Sales: 

  • Bring key technical knowledge within the sales process to support discussion and trials of our product.   
  • Maintaining a well-developed pipeline of projects/trials with our customers (HubSpot).
  • Plan and attend presentations of our products to the prospects.
  • Offer packaging structure recommendations to meet customer’s specific requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and support new coating trials with customers.  
  • Organize and manage the product development phase of the sales process.  
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Meet and/or exceed Sales quotas. 
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes, leveraging customer feedback and market insights.

30% Market Study: 

  • Identify, plan, and attend packaging shows to grow your market knowledge and support the prospection team.  
  • Become an expert in the Indonesian packaging markets: Regulation, recyclability standards, competitor landscape, packaging equipment and processes, etc. 
  • Understand the different actors of the market and how to interact and approach them. 
  • Develop strategic partnerships with trade associations, resin producers, converters, plastic filmmakers, or FMCG Brand organizations.  

Requirements 

  • [MUST HAVE] Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. 
  • [MUST HAVE] Previous knowledge of the packaging industry: Worked for a packaging converter, a barrier coatings manufacturer, a petrochemical company, or in the Packaging department of a Food/ Beverage/ Cosmetics company.  
  • [MUST HAVE] Some Sales experience with proven ability to meet or exceed sales quota and proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and highly self-motivated. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint. 
  • [Bonus] Proficiency in the following tools is a plus: HubSpot, and Wrike.
