Full Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented claims reconciliation specialist to perform above and beyond data entry, and payment posting, verify financial and payer information, as well as patient demographics and research rejections, identify documentation errors, and coordinate correction. Likewise has a strong sense of urgency leading to the completion of tasks on or before scheduled cut-offs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Identify documentation errors and coordinate the correction, as appropriate.
• Review all work and validate entered and generated data
• Correct and escalate all errors immediately after doing reviews
• Perform the screening process before the claim payment is executed
• Follow-up on claim status and missing information as needed
• Gather and submit documentation for timely reports submission
• Post electronic payment remittances
• Create or download the reports related to claims payment statuses
• Liaise and handover the payment and reconciliation reports to the relevant departments
• Perform quality assurance of reports
• Share the reports with the relevant departments or third parties
• Update claims status and reconciles the claims after the payment disbursement

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any Business or Finance insurance-related field
• 5 years of experience as an insurance claims reconciliation
• Being knowledgeable with current medical billing line items and likewise familiar with medical coding is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) suite, cloud software, and web-based tools.
• Strong sense of urgency leading to the timely completion of all projects, training, and assignments.
• Provides and monitors the Claims aging flow of the outstanding claims of all payers
• Coordinates with other departments concerned to achieve positive and accurate feedback for each reconciliation request
• Send all batch reconciliation information to the Finance department
• Contact patients, insurance, or third-party administrators when clarification of information is needed to successfully post payment
• Excellence in English oral and written communication and listening skills.
• Insurance certification is PREFERRABLE.
