About The Block:
The Block is a combat and conditioning centre specialised in boxing, kick-boxing and brazilian jiu-jitsu. With qualified world class coaches and top notch training facilities, functional gym, recovery area, and a fight-specific nutrition restaurant, The Block caters to both professional fighters and beginners within our community. We are currently seeking motivated, passionate and detail-oriented individuals to join us as a Front Desk.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
– Greet and assist members, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
– Address inquiries, provide information about classes, and ensure a positive customer experience.
2. Membership Management:
– Assist in the enrollment and registration process for new members.
– Manage membership databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
3. Class Scheduling and Coordination:
– Schedule classes, appointments, and consultations for members.
– Coordinate with instructors to ensure smooth class transitions and minimize scheduling conflicts.
4. Payment Processing:
– Handle cash and electronic transactions for membership fees, merchandise, and other services.
– Provide receipts and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
5. Phone and WhatsApp Communication:
– Answer and redirect phone calls professionally.
– Respond to WhatsApp promptly, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.
6. Facility Management:
– Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
– Monitor and manage inventory of gym-related items, such as towels, merchandise and promotional materials.
7. Member Relations:
– Build and maintain positive relationships with members.
– Address and resolve member concerns or issues, escalating when necessary.
8. Sales Support:
– Assist in promoting membership upgrades, merchandise, and special promotions.
– Actively contribute to achieving sales targets and goals.
9. Administrative Support:
– Provide administrative assistance to management, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
– Assist in the coordination of special events and promotions.
10. Safety and Security:
– Monitor access to the gym, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
– Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures as required.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or front desk role.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficient in using computer software for scheduling and data entry.
– Ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
– Proficient in English
