Siklus

Siklus is an early-stage start-up that aims to reduce plastic pollution at the source and make everyday necessities more affordable to low-income populations. Indonesia is the second-largest ocean plastic polluter in the world. Most Indonesians buy most consumer goods in tiny packages, sachets, paying up to 20% more, a so-called “poverty tax.” Siklus sets up refill vending machines and mobile refill stations selling oil and home care products without packaging. Low-income customers can purchase small quantities of goods in reusable containers while paying a lower per-unit price due to reduced costs in distribution and packaging. We aim to become the next sustainable model of retail in Indonesia.
