Position Summary

Achieve assigned objectives within our quality systems and product quality areas to improve value in our products. Provide support to development and implementation teams in translating and integrating new or improved products. Develop knowledge of our products and processes to help resolve manufacturing and design problems. Assess our product quality to ensure quality expectations are being met and that negative trends are addressed. Assess suppliers’ quality systems and products to minimize risk of shipping non-conforming product to Energizer. Recommend and drive changes to sustain and improve our quality competencies and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality metrics for part of the portfolio within a product category team.

• Assigned work supporting product innovation, cost savings and supply assurance.

• Understanding of Energizer Quality Management System.

• Recognizes improvement opportunities to current processes, suppliers, and quality systems utilizing experience and knowledge.

• Identify trends or concerns from data reviews that relate to underlying systems or process issues.

• Ensure proper Change Management protocols are followed, facilitate as required.

• Lead local problem-solving efforts encountered by operations or suppliers that impact the quality/reliability of our products.

• Escalate product, supplier, and performance issues to quality team.

• Support new product development projects to meet identified time/cost/performance objectives.

Specific Accountabilities

• Perform basic supplier, process and internal audits as part of a cross functional team.

• Address customer complaints utilizing problem solving methodologies; Drive to true root cause and implement robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues

• Improve quality systems through direction of quality team (change management, calibration, in-process quality control, raw material quality, and post-production testing), internal and third-party manufacturers

• Assist in driving and implementing improvements to quality policies and compliance.

• Support the product approval process to verify the product/ material meet the design inputs.

• Provide training/coaching to internal cross-function team and suppliers as needed to improve current and needed capabilities to meet Energizer needs.

• Monitor and improve supplier performance; lead supplier improvement plans.

• May also perform additional duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quality or Supplier Development

• Bachelor’s degree required – Engineering, Science, Management

• Quality Management Systems Experience

• Fluent in Portuguese and English – oral and written

• Problem Solving Experience

• Experience in manufacturing environments addressing internal and/or supplier operations to improve performance, expand capability, increase capacity, and lower costs.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with consumer goods and high-speed manufacturing in Auto or Chemical industry

• Supplier Quality Management

• Internal or external auditor experience

• Possess process optimization experience (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent)

• Fluent in Spanish

• ISO9001 or IATF16969 experiences

• SAP or other ERP system operating experiences

Working Relationships

• Reports to the Corporate Quality Organization and received guidance on objectives and assignments.

• Works closely with other personnel including R&D, Operations, QC, Procurement.

• External communication with suppliers and customers as required.

Work Environment

• Travel Requirements less than 25% of time

• Physical requirements, as needed, include carrying out duties in production and quality lab environment such as auditing and hands on problem solving.

• Work schedules may vary from typical business hours

• Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
