We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Online Editor (Bahasa Indonesia) to join our team at DestinAsian Indonesia. As the Senior Online Editor, you will be responsible for managing and curating the content on our website to ensure it is engaging, accurate, and meets the needs of our audience. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the editorial direction of our platform and providing our readers with valuable, inspiring, and informative content.

Responsibilities:

• Curate and oversee the publication of articles, blog posts, and multimedia content related to travel destinations, experiences, tips, and more. 
• Ensure that all content aligns with the website’s editorial guidelines and quality standards.
• Develop and implement an editorial calendar that aligns with the website’s mission and target audience.
• Edit, proofread, and fact-check articles and other content to maintain high editorial standards for accuracy, grammar, and style.
• Optimize content for search engines by incorporating relevant keywords and meta tags.
• Stay updated with SEO best practices and trends to improve the website’s search visibility.
• Oversee the incorporation of images, videos, and other multimedia elements to enhance the user experience and engagement.
• Monitor and respond to user comments, questions, and feedback to foster a sense of community and engagement.
• Collaborate with the social media team to promote content across various platforms.
• Ensure that all content complies with copyright and intellectual property laws.
• Stay up-to-date with travel trends, emerging destinations, and reader preferences to guide content creation.
• Use analytics tools to track content performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Work with the marketing team to develop and execute content promotion strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior editors or freelance contributors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in online editing or content management, with a focus on travel, lifestyle and hospitality content.
• Strong nose for news and high level of creativity.
• Solid grasp of web editing experience, good understanding of WordPress, demonstrable feature writing and feature editing skills, hands-on experience of Photoshop for image resizing for the web.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in SEO and content optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passion for travel and a deep understanding of travel trends and destinations.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and audience engagement strategies.
