This position is to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders in Indonesia for a leading home appliance manufacturing company in Jakarta office.

This company needs no introduction as it is a leading global home appliance producer, sold in over 150+ countries. The company is providing services and products for residential, commercial, and industrial purposes.

Description

• Develop and implement strategies to engage with government officials, ministries, and regulatory bodies relevant to the industry, including but not limited to Kementerian Investasi/BKPM, Kementerian ESDM, Kemenperin, Kementerian LHK, and the likes.
• Advocate for policies that support the company’s business objectives while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, national, and regional levels that may impact the industry
• Analyze proposed policies and provide timely insights to the executive team on potential impacts and opportunities
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders
• Represent the company in industry forums, trade associations, and government-related events
• Oversee the process of obtaining and renewing necessary licenses, permits, and certifications from government authorities, collaborating with the legal team
• Address and resolve any government-related issues or disputes that may arise, working closely with legal and regulatory teams.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Up to 10 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in home appliance and electrical manufacturing or related sectors
• Proven networking experience to Kementerian Investasi/BKPM, Kementerian ESDM, Kemenperin, Kementerian LHK, and the related governmental bodies
• Strong understanding of Indonesian government structures, policies, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of successfully influencing government policies and building positive relationships with government stakeholders.
