This job will handle end-to-end industrial relations matter for a multinational plantation company.

Description

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships between management, employees, and external relations including government and community. The responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations, including communication and conflict resolution.
• Handle labor disputes, grievances, and negotiations between management and labor unions or workers’ representatives.
• Develop and enforce company policies and procedures that adhere to labor laws and regulations.
• Mediate disputes between employees, departments, or management, ensuring that conflicts are resolved in a fair and timely manner.
• Investigate employee complaints and allegations, conducting impartial investigations as needed.
• Build positive connections with the local government and the nearby community to make sure the company runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Ad hoc employee relations matter

Profile

An IR Manager must ensure good two-ways communication between management and employee. Requirements for this positions include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Management, or similar field
• Minimum of 7 years within Industrial Relations sector (specialist)
• Fluent in English
• Proven experience in managing dispute, compliance cases, and CLA negotiation
• Strong track record in implementing policies, changing culture, and handling sensitive matter
• Good relationship with surrounding government
• Experienced in managing community events is a huge plus
