The QA manager is in charge of guiding the QA team and promoting culture of quality among the staff. This is essential for the development and execution of QA systems and initiatives aimed at guaranteeing that the final clothing products meet the quality standards expected by the Plant’s customers.

Description

  1. Establishing the QA System: Create and put into action the QA system according to Group standards while participating in Group-wide efforts to enhance this system.
  2. Oversight of Auditing: Personally conduct audits and ensure that the QA team adheres to the standard procedures within the Group’s QA system.
  3. Quality Training: Collaborate with PMC to deliver training on customer quality standards to QA & QC teams and other relevant departments like Production and the Lab. Regularly assess comprehension through examinations.
  4. Managing Customer Quality Inspections: Ensure that direct reports are accountable for coordinating and overseeing final customer inspections, and step in personally when necessary.
  5. Enforcing Metal-Free and Needle-Control Compliance: Hold direct reports responsible for auditing compliance with the metal-free inspection system and needle-control system.
  6. Analysis of Quality Reports: Periodically review internal and customer quality reports to identify quality trends and areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborative Problem Resolution: Work with other departments to identify the root causes of quality issues and provide support in devising effective solutions.
  8. Measuring the Quality Mindset: Define and communicate the concept of a quality mindset and establish metrics for assessing it.
  9. Leadership of Quality Mindset Programs: Create and lead Plant-wide quality mindset programs and track performance against established metrics.
  10. Quality System Certification: Coordinate with external Quality Certification practitioners to regularly audit the Plant’s SOPs to maintain Quality Certification qualifications and take corrective actions when necessary.
  11. Development of Internal Audit Capability: Ensure that external Quality Certification practitioners train internal auditors to perform internal audits and implement corrective actions to maintain certification.
  12. Performance Review Meetings: Conduct monthly meetings with the Quality Certification-designated Plant management team to discuss Plant performance against annual KPIs.
  13. Quality Certification Training: Make the internal Quality Certification inspector responsible for providing necessary training to newcomers on the Quality Certification system.
  14. Defining Inspector Expectations: Identify the key expectations of QA Inspectors for their roles.
  15. Fostering Effective Working Relationships: Strive to meet the key expectations of QA Inspectors where applicable and cultivate effective and respectful working relationships to enhance QC Inspector engagement.
  16. Skill Enhancement through Training: Provide necessary technical and functional training to continually upgrade the skills of QA personnel.
  17. Skill-Level Assessment: Develop a methodology, following Group guidelines, for assessing the skill levels of individual QA team members.
  18. Communication of Skill-Level Assessment Results: Share the results of skill-level assessments with Factory Managers to inform decisions regarding salary and career progression for QA team members.
  19. Awareness of Business Context: Convey the broader context in which direct reports should plan and execute their work, considering factors such as global, national, industry, Group, customer, and inter-departmental considerations.
  20. Process for Collaborative Teamwork: Establish a process for regular meetings and ensure that direct reports are held accountable for effective and collaborative teamwork between departments at their level.
