Job Responsibilities

• Design, generate, and maintain Ruby on Rails code efficiently and reliably
• Design, create & deploy and maintain API endpoints cleanly and securely
• Design, create, and maintain the backend scheduler for timed or triggered tasks or operations via Sidekiq or any other platform or framework efficiently and reliably
• Establish a bridge or connectivity between the API endpoints and the database efficiently and securely whenever it’s required
• Coordinate with relevant teams to analyze the need to develop new features on the platform, update existing features, improve existing or new features, or any relevant API endpoints or integrations required
• Design, create, and perform unit testing, integration testing, load, and stability tests
• Troubleshooting by Identifying the source of errors, performance issues, logic issues, or malfunctions and providing, implementing, and deploying solutions to mitigate the problem
• Make recommendations relevant to the above responsibilities or as a software developer in general

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma Degree in IT/Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related major (strongly recommended by not mandatory)
• Communicative-level English
• Minimum 2 years experience in developing, managing, or troubleshooting software products or services using Ruby on Rails
• Minimum 1 year of experience in developing, managing, or troubleshooting REST-based API endpoints with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with PostgreSQL with at least a level of familiarity with NoSQL and able to write and understand complex SQL queries
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Flutter, HTML, CSS, or any other
• Familiar with the SCRUM methodology of software development
• Having good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Having a good work ethic
• Able to work within a team
• Willing to work remotely within a Virtual Machine environment during normal work hours
