Kinderfield-Highfield School Bekasi, is currently seeking for professional psychologist for placement started in Term 2 Academic Year 2023-2024 to fill in the following position:

SCHOOL COUNSELOR

FOR

PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN LEVEL

Responsibilities:

1. Providing emotional support and counseling to young children who may be experiencing emotional or social challenges, such as anxiety, self-esteem issues, academic pressure, cultural differences, family issues, etc.
2. Assisting teachers and parents in addressing and managing behavioral issues in early childhood students, which may involve creating behavior intervention plans and providing strategies for positive behavior reinforcement.
3. Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with children who need individual support, as well as leading group counseling sessions to address common issues among students.
4. Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify and diagnose learning disabilities, developmental delays, or emotional issues that may require specialized services or interventions.
5. Collaborates with the School Principals & Coordinators to mediate conflicts between students, parents/guardians and educators.
6. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staffs to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students, and making recommendations for appropriate interventions or accommodations.
7. Offering workshops and training sessions for parents and teachers to help them better understand child development, behavioral issues, and effective communication strategies.
8. Maintaining confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions, while also adhering to legal and ethical guidelines regarding student privacy.
9. Helping School Principals & Coordinators to plan and carry out the admission/enrollment process of prospective students.

Qualifications:

1. Full-time position
2. Minimum Master Degree (S2) majoring in Psychology
3. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
4. Computer literate (MS Office, Google Suites)
5. Open minded, creative, responsible, caring and love working with children
6. Good command in English both verbal & written (minimal TOEFL Score: 500).
7. Able to work in a team or independently
8. Willing to work on Saturday
