Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team in building and maintaining a sports review and highlights website. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an engaging user experience, ensuring website functionality, and handling ongoing maintenance tasks such as framework upgrades, plugin upgrades, backups, security checks, speed optimizations, visual reviews, and gamification elements. Your work will play a crucial role in delivering a top-notch sports content platform to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Front-End Development:

• Develop and maintain the front-end of the sports review and highlights website.
• Create responsive, visually appealing, and user-friendly web pages.
• Implement interactive features, gamification elements, and multimedia elements to enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistent branding and UI/UX design.

1. Content Placement:

• Embed sports reviews and video highlights seamlessly within the website’s layout.
• Optimize video playback for various devices and screen sizes.
• Ensure efficient content loading and delivery for an uninterrupted user experience.

1. Gamification Experience:

• Design and integrate gamification elements such as leaderboards, achievements, and challenges to enhance user engagement and loyalty.
• Monitor user interactions with gamified features and optimize them for increased participation.
• Collaborate with the content team to create gamified sports quizzes, polls, and contests.

1. Maintenance:

• Perform regular framework upgrades to keep the website current and secure.

• Monitor website speed and implement optimizations to enhance page load times.

• Work closely with back-end developers, designers, and content creators to ensure seamless integration of new features, content, and gamification elements.
• Collaborate with the SEO team to implement on-page SEO best practices.

1. Testing and Debugging:

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
• Debug and resolve front-end issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Fluent written and oral English is beneficiary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing web development projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Experience with video embedding, optimization, and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and content placement strategies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of website security best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with sports or news-related websites or projects.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization tools and techniques.
• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.

Backend Developer

Requirements:

• High expertise in Laravel, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, and MySql
• Strong knowledge of PHP web framework (Laravel)
• Familiarity with MySql databases and its declarative query language
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Previous experience in developing web applications
• Knowledge of microservices is a big plus
• Team player and have good analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and constant drive to learn
• Database optimization for efficiency
• Having previous experience as a backend engineer is a plus
• You are wellversed with software engineering best practices such as design patterns, code reviews, unit and integration testing, etc.
• Deep understanding of data structures and other computer science fundamentals
• You have good problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge in software engineering (e.g., Design Patterns, Object Oriented Design Principles, SOLID).
• Strong knowledge in database fundamentals such as RDMS and Document based as well as query optimization.
• Experience in implementing secure, resilient and high performance public RESTful APIs.
• Ability to communicate and work well with other team members.
