Overall an External Relations role to handle 360 scope of work of Corporate Communication, Stakeholder Relations & Engagement, CSR, Media Relations, Crisis Communications and Public Affairs. This role will be reporting to Head of Corporate Secretary in Jakarta office in coordination with Holding Group Corporate Team overseas.

Client Details

A global-based champion in Certified Sustainable Palm Oil plantation, for around 20% market share of global production by capacity. In Indonesia, the business spreads across 8 provinces, spanning an approximate area of 250 thousand hectares.

Description

• Develop, coordinate, and manage internal and external content; regulated reporting and other publications (i.e., annual report / sustainability report / newsletter); digital platforms; events; brand communications; creative design & production
• Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting the industry and advocate for the company’s interests with government bodies
• Manage media relations
• Identify, evaluate, and execute sponsor and CSR programs to support business and promote visibility of company image in the area coverage
• Lead crisis communication efforts in the event of emergencies or crises
• Actively engage with and handling local and foreign media, NGO, shareholders’ enquiries related to the company and other stakeholders

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Law/Public Relations/Journalism/other related fields
• Minimum of 13-15 years in related job function, preferably in plantation industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (professional) and Bahasa Indonesia
• Deep understanding of the plantations industry, including the palm oil sector, in Indonesia.
• Familiarity with environmental and sustainability issues related to plantations.
• Extensive experience in corporate communication, public relations, or external affairs, with a track record of progressively responsible roles
• Proven ability to manage relationships with government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and industry associations.
• Proven experience in Crisis Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, CSR, Community Outreach
• Knowledge in sustainability principle and ESG reporting is a plus
