The Finance Accounting Staff plays a crucial role in the financial management and reporting of the organization. This position involves various tasks related to maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in financial analysis, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The Finance Accounting Staff typically reports to the Finance Manager or Controller and collaborates with other members of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recording Transactions: Accurately record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure that these reports are accurate, timely, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies between the company’s records and bank transactions.

• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of payables.

• Accounts Receivable: Monitor customer accounts, prepare invoices, and track incoming payments. Follow up on overdue accounts and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve payment issues.

• Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and appropriate expense coding.

• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions, adjustments, and accruals.

• Internal Controls: Contribute to the maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to manage financial transactions, recordkeeping, and reporting.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and other stakeholders to provide accurate financial information and support decision-making.

• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance and accounting processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required. Fresh graduates with degrees in these fields are welcome to apply.

• Experience: While previous work experience is not mandatory for fresh graduates, any internship, coursework, or projects related to accounting, finance, or relevant software tools would be advantageous.

• Knowledge: A foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is a plus.

• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and precision in recording and analyzing financial data, as this skill is critical for maintaining the integrity of financial records.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are important for collaborating with team members and reporting financial information effectively.

• Time Management: Fresh graduates should exhibit potential for managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and efficiently organizing their work.
