Job description & requirements

Job Description:

Teaching Activities (AFM, FM, FM-SCS):

  • Ensure the quality of teaching delivery within related classes according to the standard (Course Outline and On-Line Resources)
  • Disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge to students
  • Assist students with learning process and applying the knowledge
  • Assessing student’s learning, using a wide range of strategies (i.e., tests, papers, and project-oriented demonstrations of knowledge)
  • Contribute to Department/Program/Faculty/School curriculum diversity and richness, and to foster their students’ critical and creative abilities

Research Activities (FM, FM-SCS):

  • Produce high quality research and publication
  • Participate actively in specific research projects
  • Propose new topics for research projects
  • Maintain a program of research, scholarship or artistic creativity through which they should aspire to a national or international reputation as scholars and promotion to the rank of Professor (academic specialist rank)
  • Contribute to their disciplines through publishing articles and books, presenting research findings, or disseminating their work to external audiences

Community Service (FM, FM-SCS):

  • Participate actively in community service programs
  • Propose new program for community service

Self-Development (AFM, FM, FM-SCS):

  • Participate actively in self development programs

Content Development & Evaluation (FM-SCS):

  • Enrich and maintain the academic quality of all course materials under related area of responsibility, including: Course Outline (CO), Online Resources (OR), Assignments, Examination
  • Create new and/or revise the course materials within related group of subjects (2 courses per semester).
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of teaching delivery for all classes according to the standard (CO and OR).
  • Review all course materials within related group of subjects (Rumpun Ilmu).
  • Lead peer review activities.
  • Monthly updates to Head of Department/Program related to course evaluation and improvement.
  • Provide input for obsolete courses and teaching materials to Head of Department/Program
  • Coordinate other lecturers related to course development and evaluation process, as well as provide mentoring, coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure the quality of teaching delivery for all classes according to standard.
  • Manage all peers to be involved in the development & evaluation of course and examination content.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of peer review activities.
  • Ensure on time completion of development & evaluation process.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning activities

Management Support Activities (AFM, FM, FM-SCS):

  • Provide Report to direct Supervisor
  • Suggest improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort and cost)
  • Perform activities related to Quality Management System
  • Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor

General Requirement (AFM, FM, FM-SCS:

  • D4 & Bachelor Degree Program: Master Degree with relevant field of Knowledge
  • Graduate Program : Doctoral Degree with relevant field of Knowledge
  • Doctor Degree Program : Doctoral Degree with relevant field of Knowledge
  • Jenjang Jabatan Akademik (JJA): Minimum Asisten Ahli
  • 2+ years of teaching experience
