• Take the lead in developing and executing strategic business development plans that align with company’s objectives.
• Proactively identify and target potential clients through thorough market research, leveraging your understanding of industry trends and customer needs.
• Initiate contact and build relationships with key stakeholders, engaging in meaningful conversations that highlight the value of our transshipment solutions.
• Leverage your networking skills to represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and establish a strong market presence.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to qualify leads and facilitate seamless hand offs, ensuring a cohesive approach to lead nurturing and conversion.
• Utilise your persuasive communication skills to present tailored proposals and solutions to prospective clients, addressing their specific challenges and needs.
• Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of business development strategies, making data-driven adjustments to optimise lead generation efforts.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record in business development or sales roles, demonstrating the ability to identify and secure valuable leads.
• Experience in shipping (focusing on mining sector)
• Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, with the confidence to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong research skills, enabling you to gather market intelligence and identify potential clients.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to craft compelling proposals and engage prospects.
• Strategic thinking and a results-driven mindset, coupled with the ability to manage multiple lead generation initiatives.
• Familiarity with maritime industry dynamics and trends is a plus.
