Job Description:

As a Data Center Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining data center systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and compliance with established operational standards, also ensure continuous availability, performance, and security. You will play a critical role in maintaining IT service uptime, ensures the continuity of IT services by minimizing downtime, maintaining the physical security of the server room, enforcing strict adherence to policies and procedures, supporting system backups, managing hardware setups, and responding to alerts and incidents. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow established procedures in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily operations in accordance with the Data Center Operation Policy, work procedures, and security standards.

• Monitor data center infrastructure including servers, storage, power, cooling, and network systems, also monitor data center facilities, such as UPS, HVAC, fire suppression system, access control, etc. based on the defined schedule and work instructions.

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hardware and facilities.

• Respond to incidents and alarms promptly, escalating issues as necessary.

• Assist in hardware installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC).

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, asset tagging, and equipment lifecycle.

• Perform backup and restoration tasks as scheduled or requested.

• Collaborate with IT support, network engineers, and vendors for troubleshooting or upgrades.

• Perform early detection and response to system incidents, and escalate technical issues according to the established workflow.

• Record and report any abnormal conditions, disturbances, or critical events in daily logs and operational reports.

• Accompany vendors, auditors, or guests during visits to the server room, and ensure visitor registration and security procedures are followed.

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and security in the server room environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.

• Have 1–3 years of experience in a technical support, IT operations, or data center environment.

• Familiarity with server hardware, network cabling, and environmental monitoring, and have a basic understanding of data center architecture.

• Have a basic understanding of operating systems (Linux/Windows) and networking basics (IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Have ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams is a plus.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, backup & recovery systems, ticketing system, simple troubleshooting processes and disaster recovery procedures is a plus.

• Willing to work in shifts (including nights and public holidays) under a 5-days-on, 2-days-off schedule.

• Willing to be assigned to Jabodetabek area as per company needs.
