This is for Head of Internal Audit position with direct report to the CEO. As the Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for designing and executing risk-based audit plans, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, and providing independent assessments to improve operational efficiency and compliance.

My client is a reputable Digital Bank with strong presence in the business. They are seeking a Head of Internal Audit to lead and manage the internal audit function within their digital banking organization.

Description

1. Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans for all digital banking operations and functions.
2. Conduct comprehensive audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
3. Evaluate and monitor digital banking processes and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
4. Lead and mentor the internal audit team to achieve departmental objectives and professional growth.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audit findings are addressed promptly and corrective actions are implemented.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes impacting digital banking.
7. Provide clear and concise audit reports to Board of Management and the Audit Committee.
8. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

Profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent is preferred.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in internal audit, with a proven track record in digital banking or financial services industry.
3. Strong understanding of digital banking operations, IT audit, technologies, and associated risks.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex processes and identify control weaknesses.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
6. Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire and guide a team.
7. Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the digital banking sector.
