Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting quality control inspections/ verifications/ assessment, quality control metrics, production monitoring, and testing on manufacturing supplies, in-process materials, and finished products. This also includes the checking of information and products and shipping marks, etc. The Quality Control Inspector shall comply with all standards, regulations, and requirements to monitor safety and quality activities in Indonesia and other locations internationally when required.

This position will be employed through a designated Employer of Record.

You’ll Do:

• Perform quality control inspections, checking, assessment and tests during the entire manufacturing process including in-process materials, components and finished products.
• Record observations during the production process and recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Responsible for Inspection of materials, parts and final products at different stages of production.
• Document the inspections results by completing reports. Recommend new inspection procedures and methods for quality inspection improvement process.
• Support the quality function by giving constructive feedback on quality/engineering issues.
• Identify the causes of product defects/ reworks and provide corrective action feedback to suppliers and manufacturers,
• Other duties may be assigned.

Bring it!

• Minimum two to four years of quality control inspection or quality control experience.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and laws including ISO 9001:2008, FDA, UL, EN71, EU, CSA ASTM-F963, and global regulatory for consumer products, etc.
• Knowledge of continuous process improvement or related discipline.
• Excellent numerical skills and statistics is a plus.
• Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, MS Work, MS Access, MS Outlook, and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of production process (e.g. sewing, injection, assembly and final packing) and quality control.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards, process and testing techniques on electrical products (e.g. bottle warmer, sterilizer).
• Must be experienced and have effective communication skills in working with Hong Kong or China-based engineers and quality personnel.
• Local dialect and able to speak/ read and write English are a must; knowledge in Cantonese/Mandarin a plus.
• Frequently visits to Indonesia factories, and travel to other international locations occasionally as required, to monitor safety & quality activities.
