Description

Responsibilities:

• Security Infrastructure: You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of the brokerage. This includes firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption mechanisms, access controls, and other security technologies.
• Risk Assessment: You will conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to the brokerage’s systems and networks. This involves analyzing existing security measures, identifying weaknesses, and recommending appropriate solutions to mitigate risks.
• Incident Response: In the event of a security breach or incident, you will lead the incident response efforts. This includes investigating and containing the incident, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
• Security Policies and Procedures: You will develop and enforce security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This involves creating guidelines for secure system configuration, user access controls, data handling, and incident response.
• Security Audits and Compliance: You will conduct regular security audits to assess the brokerage’s compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines or other industry standards. You will ensure that security controls are properly implemented and documented.
• Threat Monitoring and Detection: You will oversee the monitoring and detection of potential security threats and vulnerabilities. This involves using security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection systems, and other monitoring solutions to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.
• Security Awareness and Training: You will develop and deliver security awareness programs and training sessions for employees across the brokerage. This helps ensure that staff members are knowledgeable about security risks, understand their responsibilities, and follow best practices to protect sensitive data.
• Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software developers, network engineers, and compliance officers, to ensure that security measures are integrated into the brokerage’s systems and processes. You will also communicate security-related updates and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Profile

• Hands on experience in OS hardening, firewall setup, intrusion detection and computer forensic tools
• Experience in designing secure network, systems and application architecture
• Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods.
• A minimum of Bachelor Degree from Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science & technology major with at least 5 years experiences as Security Engineer.
• Experience in implementing Security and IT compliance framework: ISO 27001, ISO 27002.
• Having one of the major cyber security certificates is a plus
• Having implemented SAST and DAST solution and working together with devops to incorporated security test in the SDLC workflow will be a plus.
