Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the jewellery industry. Analyze customer feedback and sales data to gain insights for new product development opportunities.
2. Product Development Strategy: Develop a product development strategy based on market research and business objectives. Identify target customer segments, create product roadmaps, and define product positioning to drive sales and profitability.
3. Conceptualization and Ideation: Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and internal teams to generate innovative jewellery product ideas and concepts. Translate consumer insights and trends into actionable product features and designs.
4. Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, including defining project timelines, coordinating activities, and ensuring successful execution of product launches. Monitor project progress and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align product development efforts with brand guidelines and marketing strategies. Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and ensure product quality.
6. Testing and Prototyping: Coordinate product testing and prototyping activities to validate designs, functionality, and quality. Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and customers to refine product iterations.
7. Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends to identify gaps and opportunities. Conduct benchmarking exercises to ensure the store’s jewellery products remain competitive in terms of quality, design, and pricing.
8. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop product development budgets and forecasts. Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as product management, marketing, or jewellery design. Prior experience in product management, preferably in the jewellery or fashion retail industry, is highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of Jewellery: Strong understanding of jewellery design, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends. Familiarity with gemstones, metals, and jewellery craftsmanship is a plus.
3. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop product development strategies based on market research, customer insights, and business objectives. Experience in conducting market analysis and applying findings to product planning.
4. Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing end-to-end product development projects, including defining timelines, coordinating teams, and ensuring successful product launches. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Creative and Innovative Mindset: Ability to generate and evaluate innovative product ideas. Strong aesthetic sense and an understanding of design principles to drive the creation of visually appealing jewellery collections.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, designers, suppliers, and external partners. Excellent communication skills to convey ideas, provide feedback, and present product concepts.
7. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and customer insights. Ability to interpret sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to drive product development decisions.
8. Results-Oriented: Demonstrated track record of achieving product development goals and delivering successful product launches. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
9. Passion for Jewellery: Genuine interest in jewellery, fashion, and trends. Enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest developments in the jewellery industry and bringing innovative ideas to the store’s product offerings.
