The Role
AspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing and supply chain operations. Additionally, the Asset Performance Management (APM) suite supports corporate reliability initiatives, taking an analytics-driven approach to asset availability. The Principal Solution Consultant should ideally be a Petroleum Engineer (PE) with knowledge of Reservoir Engineering to create and drive opportunities across Asia Pacific (APAC), including India.Your Impact

• Analyze well performance data to identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and increase oil and gas recovery.
• Design and implement production enhancement techniques, such as artificial lift systems, water and gas injection, and well stimulation.
• Develop and implement well intervention programs, including workover and well servicing activities.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and geoscientists to optimize well placement and completion design.
• Conduct surveillance activities to monitor well and reservoir performance and identify potential production issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in production technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop and implement best practices and new technologies.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with min 10 years of relevant experience in maximizing the production of Oil and Gas from existing wells by optimizing production processes and equipment.
• Strong background in production engineering as well as deep understanding of O&G production technologies. Experience in using PE software with an IOC or NOC
• Proved experience using Aspen METTE software of other Production Engineering packages
• Good communication and writing skills
• Strong drive to solve customer problems and rapidly convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to create clear observations, analysis and conclusions based on customer interviews and data
• Good team player. Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers
• Frequent business travel expected (30% – 40% frequency)
