The Indonesia team comprises of a highly motivated, passionate, business driven bunch of problem solvers who create impactful experiences for our clients. The Role
Based in Jakarta, the Digital & Fintech Partnerships Senior Manager reports to Senior Director, Head of Products & Solutions Indonesia. The role is responsible for hunting and onboarding Visa’s digital and fintech partners on to the Visa Network, providing go-to-market support to enable clients to issue Visa cards and process Visa payments. This candidate will work closely with Business Development and Account Managers, as well as Visa’s Client Services team and other stakeholders including Licensing, Legal, Risk, Marketing, Finance, Client Service, Branding, and Govt. Engagement to manage scope, secure support for execution and drive multiple simultaneous onboarding projects. The Digital Partnerships & Fintech Partnerships Senior Manager would drive the business development, deal closure, execution and implementation of deals with key clients and would be measured against the revenue & number of activations and/or clients going live. The role is also responsible for managing the commercial relationships with some of Visa’s most complex and highest growth partners as well as driving Visa Value added services.
Responsibilities:
· Business Development
o Identify new business opportunities for Visa and its partners, build relationships with Fintech players, and qualify opportunities with our prospecting partners
o Conduct sales pitches to clients to help Visa win new clients and deepen partnerships
o Lead in the development of structuring the partnership proposals
o Lead Visa team to onboard fintech clients on to the Visa Network by taking an active role in leading project management efforts and securing support for execution as well as drive multiple projects while working closely with Visa’s Client Services team and other stakeholders
o Involve actively in Visa cross-functional teams regionally to co-develop and launch new products to the market
· Account Management:
o Develop and execute customized account strategy, objectives and plans to increase revenue and market share for select strategic partner accounts
o Lead the account and relationship management and sales plan for these accounts, ensuring that the client’s business objectives are met
o Lead the development, negotiation and signing of proposals by working with various internal stakeholders and relationships with strategic partner executives
o Align the cross-functional teams on key proposals including representation from Legal, Marketing, Product, Operations, Market Research and Technology.
o Working with the innovation team to recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to grow client’s business
o Lead product team on commercial relationships with some of Visa’s most complex and highest growth partners.
· Segment and Product Expertise:
o Support the Digital & Fintech Partnerships and Innovation executive team in developing the overall group strategy, specifically for Digital Commerce
o Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of the segment and customer’s business needs, leveraging Visa solutions across all product platforms
o Continuously review market landscape, identifying developing partnership or acquisition opportunities that will position Visa as the market leader
o Expand Visa business by working closely with clients to enable BIN sponsorship model
o Be the product lead on select Visa Value Added Services and proactively sell to all types of clients to support their business growth and drive Visa revenue
· Execution:
o Work with cross functional teams to ensure partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan
o Take the lead in solving the problems that arise during the execution of programs with partners
o Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship and direction of the business
· Communication:
o Report to and interact with senior management and executives to indicate the status of the partnership progress
o Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization
o Proactively educate the Visa organization on market developments and partner opportunities
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What you will need:
• 10+ years of relevant business experience in Retail Banking, Consumer Financial Services, Cards payment or fintech
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully, prior experience at Visa and/or payments industry is a plus
• Self-motivated, self-starter, and highly driven
• Ability to identify potential opportunities, develop the tactics and manage the teams needed to bring them to fruition.
• Vision and passion for our business, with high energy and intelligence
• Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial and nimble, while also able to navigate a globally matrixed environment
• Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence management and other relevant parties
